Enabling Early Cancer Detection
Pancreatic cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer deaths (> 51K/yr) with an overall survival rate of just 12.8%. More than 79% of patients are diagnosed when the disease has progressed to stage 2 or later—a point where 5-year survival rates fall dramatically.
Statistics show improved 5-year survival rates for patients diagnosed at stage 1 or earlier, that’s why we’re creating sensitive disease detection solutions that can be used to identify high risk individuals at the point at which intervention can be most effective.
Our platform demonstrates early-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) detection with high sensitivity and specificity at stages 1 & 2.
When evaluated in a blinded, real-world cohort, our platform continued to show high sensitivity for stage 1 & 2 PDAC, and high specificity for healthy and high-risk benign pancreatic conditions.
Xzōm’s platform also shows high sensitivity and specificity for early detection of tuberculosis and lung cancer in feasibility studies, and has proven its capabilities for early-stage multi-cancer detection.
